What this is
- Client work from week one. Diligence models, audit files, fundraise materials — reviewed by a partner, sent to a client.
- A firm small enough to see. You will know every mandate in the building. Nothing is above your pay grade to understand.
- Compensation before assignment. Role, expectations, and money on the table first. Then we test. Never the reverse.
- We hire for clients too. Finance and adjacent roles inside companies we advise — never sales or operations.
What this is not
- Not a brand-name badge. If the logo matters more than the work, a Big Four articleship will serve you better.
- Not a 500-person batch. No bench, no shadow year, nowhere to hide.
- Not "exposure." You will not fetch coffee or format decks for eight months.
- Not for talkers. The assignment stage exists because interviews reward fluency and we bill for delivery.

We don't like talkers; we like doers. After discussing compensation and role expectations, we share a bounded assignment. Submit it within the instructed timeframe.
Culture fit
If you qualify Steps 1 & 2, someone from Dissent does an online catch-up. If we are hiring on behalf of a client, they will do a culture-fit interview as well.
